Rodents love to hide and make homes in piles of rocks, bricks and firewood because they provide warmth and shelter. Walk around your house and check your window screens and doors. Make sure that they are tightly sealed. Flies, spiders and mosquitoes love to sneak in from the outside.
Inside
Once you have taken care of the outside of your home, you can get to work on the inside. Store all of your food in airtight containers so that they do not go to waste and attract mold. Also bring pet food and water indoors at night so that rodents won’t try to eat and drink it. Always empty your garbage on a regular basis. Excess garbage will attract rodents, insects, germs, and flies. Clean your basement and your attic on a regular basis. Insects love to breed and live in old boxes full of clutter and dust. Clean all of your air filters around the home so that you don’t let dust build up and affect the clean air you breathe.
